I was looking for a particular item to shoot for this assignment and I ran into these two old coins. I took the case that comes with the Canon flash which has a soft black velvet interior. Placed the coins on this black velvet surface. I then had them angled (approx 15-20%) to reflect the rainy day light. Then with my camera and a macro lens with mirror lockup and a shutter cord took the shot. This shot was taken in Monochrome mode (black and white, no color in these coins).
